Dog Breeds of the World

Dog breeds

It’s not possible to put an exact number on the dog breeds of the world, because many varieties might be recognized by one breed registration group, but not by another. The World Canine Organization is the largest internationally accepted registry of dog breeds, and they have 343 breeds at the moment. This page strives to give information on at least some of the dog breeds and corresponding pet doors. You will find rare breed specials as well as spotlights on popular breeds. You can also visit our general pet info page for fun pet facts and news.
