The PlexiDor French Door Dog Door insert is easily installed and seamlessly replaces the glass panel in your current exterior glass house door. Turning your glass patio door into a pet accessible door is easy with the one-piece glass door insert from PlexiDor. This prefabricated product is designed to replace the glass in your glass house door. The one-piece replacement glass, with frame, includes a high quality factory installed PlexiDor Performance Dog Door built-in. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
It is designed for use in standard 80 inch and 96 inch single panel clear glass or Low-E glass patio doors. Low-E glass has a slight green tint to it and is safety tempered. It reduces the infrared and ultraviolet light coming through without minimizing the light entering your home. All sizes are available to fit most standard French, full light and single light glass patio doors. PlexiDor Dog Doors are available in medium (MD), large (LG) and extra-large (XL) and will accommodate every dog breed worldwide. Your replacement French door dog door includes the insert, new glazing putty and easy to read instructions. We also have an interactive list of recommended installers in your area. When your new dog door insert arrives, the pre-framed glass panel will be complete with dog door already built in. Just replace the glass in your current door and your dog has easy access to the outdoors. The installation can usually be completed within 2 hours. The original glass can be stored in your garage or shed.
The replacement frame and glass are warrantied for five (5) years. The PlexiDor Dog Door comes with a 10-year warranty. You’ll love how beautiful this product looks in your home. The dog door and glass frame are available in two color options, white and bronze, to coordinate with your décor.

Important thing I learned after ordering it is that the glass insert you receive from Plexidor will have a smaller visible glass by an inch or so on all sides than the specifications you provide. The actual glass dimensions you receive are smaller despite this being called a seamless replacement. There’s an extra plastic frame around the glass inside the normal one so both your french doors will look like you have different size glass in each which is not the best look. The glass is otherwise decent quality without any noted issues so far. It can be removed and installed without much difficulty. Customer service is good and responsive. The packaging is good and it arrived intact. The dog door itself is okay, holds up to wind well but has some resistance and the dog seems to like it less than a flap type but too early to tell. The price of this door had us a little nervous at first and we almost didn’t buy it. But I’m so glad we did! The measuring and installation videos made it easy to choose and install. Our dogs were hesitant to use it at first, but they’ve gotten the hang of it and are loving it! I will say, it’s a big step so I’m not sure if they’ll be able to use it as well when they’re old. The insert can be removed so, if we ever move, we can take it with us. I don’t know if I could fully recommend my friends to spend this much money on a dog door, but it’s been worth it to us!

Really like the French/patio dog door insert(large). Works very well, easy to clean an definitely keeps the cold outside. My husband and I installed it and the hardest part was taking existing glass insert out. My German Shepherd loves the dog door.

A dog door that installs into a French door? YES! It was a great answer to a big problem. We had no wall that we could put a dog door, only this door. My other half did some digging and found this Plexidoor. We did a couple measurements according to the website, called, and placed the order. EASY! We then changed our focus and worry to how we were going to get it installed. We are not the handiest of people. The door arrived and out came the tools. We followed the video and had the door installed in less than an hour. The hardest part of this whole thing was just popping out those darn little screw covers. LOL. I couldn’t believe how easy it was, and just how beautiful the door looks. I am so very happy! Cant wait to bring the pups to our new house to enjoy the door.
