Bought this door 23 years ago for my Siberians.  Absolutely best purchase I ever made!! This door work 24/7 all these years never a problem.  Dogs love it! Life saver for me my days ar work 17 hours at times.  Love the security features too.  Moved into rental and bought a patio door dog door panel and it’s just okay.  Makes me appreciate the quiet operation of plexidoor.  Best door on market you will love it. So will your pets!! Will buy one again for my new house.  Thanks for a great product yes it is inexpensive really because last so long with no issues!!

I have a medium plexidor for my corgi/jack russell mix, and I’d give it six stars if I could. he LOVES it. this door has never leaked air, whether it’s been 105F or -20F outside. If you’re thinking about the cost as high, think first about the cost of comfort and of replacing flaps year after year on cheaper versions. The only way you can go wrong is by NOT buying a Plexidor!

It is FANTASTIC, When my 4-year-old German Shepherd Dog was a puppy, I bought a [mud flap brand] door, and what a mistake. It began to seriously deteriorate after about a year of use from my dog and cat, with the rubber flap ripping, falling out, and letting in the cold air during the winters. This new Plexidor is just terrific. The rear of my house is no longer cold due to drafts and its easier for my pets to use. Also, it looks much, much nicer. THis door is worth every penny.

14 years of three border collies thundering in and out…close to 500,000 operations without failing machanically! …the cost per day…is less than 5 pennies per day. I wish food, vet fees, and insurance was that low.

A fabulous product. And that actually seems an understatement. We had the flap kind of pet door in our other home and is was 1)too noisy and 2) we were ALWAYS replacing the flap. So, when we went to put a dog door in this house, we know what we didn’t want and went looking. We are so happy to have found you. … imagine how we are feeling 8 years later! I think the Plexidor is terrific. I went through 4 flap style dog doors I bought at the farm and feed store before I decided to spend the money and buy a Plexidor. At the time I wasn’t sure it would be worth the money. I am a believer now. That was 8 years ago and my size Large Plexidor is till going storing despite the rough use my dogs give it daily. I just wish I had bought the Plexidor sooner!

Last fall I purchased and installed a large wall mount door, probably the best purchase I made all year. Absolutely love it, and as we are experiencing -40 to – 50 below zero weather here in Alberta Canada, it has been utterly amazing ! Very miniscule cold from it, just a smidgen of cold from between the felt, but not enough to even notice, especially at 40 below zero? Amazing !!… An Incredible dog door !!! Thanks

We purchased the PlexiDor Large Automatic Dog door in December 2024, and this review is being made in late January 2025. We were apprehensive about the price, but the reviews kept coming back solid AND from 5, 10, and even 15-year old installations.
