No, the PlexiDor Steel Security Cover cannot be used on the PlexiDor Electronic dog door. The manual PlexiDor dog door with the saloon style panels has rivet nuts on the frame for the Steel Security Cover to screw to the frame. There are no rivet nuts on the PlexiDor Electronic dog door frame. The Steel Security Cover is not necessary on the PlexiDor Electronic unit because the closing panel is always down and locked with a 1/4 inch steel rod when not actively opening.
