Q: What happens if my power goes out with the PDE model?
A: When the power returns, the PDE automatically reboots and is ready to go within 10 seconds. It is compatible with most backup power supplies.
Q: Can I purchase extra RFID keys for the PDE?
A: Yes, additional RFID keys can be purchased and programmed easily to work with your PDE.
Q: Can I use the PlexiDor in a hurricane zone?
A: Yes. The HURCAN models are certified to meet Florida Building Code for Cat 5 hurricanes (FPA 41814).
Q: Does the PlexiDor Electronic work in freezing weather?
A: Yes. It is used successfully in Alberta, Minnesota, and other subzero regions. The motor is rated for cold climates. The motor is on the inside of the house and is at a tempered temperature.
Q: What if my house has no standard wall studs or has foam block walls?
A: Wall models can be installed in block, poured concrete, and foam. Field modifications are common and instructions are available.
