A: Yes, but the door loses its fire rating. It won’t block fire between garage and home if modified.

A: New RFID tags are sold on our website or by phone.

A: Yes, the manual PlexiDor models require no electricity. The electronic model (PDE) can be powered with solar or generator if properly configured. Customer have done this.
Q: Does the PlexiDor Electronic work in freezing weather?
A: Yes. It is used successfully in Alberta, Minnesota, and other subzero regions. The motor is rated for cold climates. The motor is on the inside of the house and is at a tempered temperature.
Q: What if my house has no standard wall studs or has foam block walls?
A: Wall models can be installed in block, poured concrete, and foam. Field modifications are common and instructions are available.
