Q: Is there an interior trim kit included?
A: Yes. The doors frame trims the Interior. Extra trim kits are included.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: Orders usually ship within 1–2 business days. Delivery takes 3–7 days depending on location and shipping method. Contact our office by email or telephone for help.
Q: Does it leak air or water?
A: Some. The door seals tightly when closed. The air leakage is similar to a house door unless weather seal wears out, which is replaceable. The PDE has the tightest seal.
Q: Are there tax benefits for service animal homes?
A: Possibly. Check with your tax advisor. In some cases, service animal accommodations qualify for home improvement deductions.
Q: Will installation void my door’s warranty?
A: Check your warranty terms of the house door manufacture. This is not controlled by PlexiDor.
Q: Do you offer installation services?
A: We do not offer installation ourselves but can refer you to installers. Many handymen or contractors install PlexiDors.
Q: Can you customize size or shape?
A: No. PlexiDors come in five sizes and are standardized. Custom size fabrication is not offered.
Q: Can a blind dog use the PlexiDor?
A: Possibly. If the dog has other dogs to follow or gets training, many blind dogs learn to use it.
Q: Do you sell through Home Depot or Lowe’s?
A: Yes. PlexiDors are sold thru Lowes, Home Depot, and via select dealers.
Q: Are there discounts for veterans?
A: Yes. Please contact customer service. We offer discounts for veterans.
