Q: Do PlexiDor panels sag over time?
A: No. PlexiDor panels are rigid and designed to resist bending or sagging, even after years of heavy use.
Q: What materials are the panels made from?
A: Sizes MD and LG use a proprietary K9 composite. XL and LGP are solid acrylic, the PDE uses ABS like motorcycle helmets. Durable and shatter resistant.
Q: How energy-efficient is PlexiDor compared to flap doors?
A: In tests and real-world feedback, PlexiDor reduces air drafts, lowers energy bills, and keeps rooms more comfortable year-round.
Q: Does PlexiDor fade or yellow in the sun?
A: No. The powder-coated finish and anodized aluminum are UV-stable. They will not fade, yellow, or degrade in sunlight.
Q: How high should I mount the PlexiDor?
A: The opening should be mounted 2 inches above your dog’s shoulders. Larger dogs = higher mounts. For older dogs, mount lower with a larger size.
Q: Is there an interior trim kit included?
A: Yes. The doors frame trims the Interior. Extra trim kits are included.
Q: What if I have two dogs of different sizes?
A: If both dogs use the door, size for the larger dog.
Q: Do you offer installation services?
A: We do not offer installation ourselves but can refer you to installers. Many handymen or contractors install PlexiDors.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: Orders usually ship within 1–2 business days. Delivery takes 3–7 days depending on location and shipping method. Contact our office by email or telephone for help.
Q: Can a blind dog use the PlexiDor?
A: Possibly. If the dog has other dogs to follow or gets training, many blind dogs learn to use it.
