The Boston Terrier is a small and compact dog also called “The American Gentleman.” They are known to be friendly and quiet, and they are gentle with a happy-go-lucky personality. Their normal weight span ranges from 10 to 25 lbs, and they need a Medium PlexiDor dog door.

The breed originated in Boston just after the Civil War, and is a result of crossing an English Bulldog and a white English Terrier.

Most modern Boston Terriers can be traced back to one single ancestor: a dog known as Hooper’s Judge.

Boston Terriers are known for being intelligent and easy to train. Many excel in obedience, as therapy dogs, and in agility and flyball competitions.

They are well suited for being companions and house pets. They require moderate amounts of exercise, and a minimum of grooming.

A lonely Boston Terrier is rarely happy. They need attention and human contact.

The PlexiDor Medium is the right size dog door for Boston Terriers.
